About the owner
I’m Cameron Siewert, founder and owner of Fira Ceramics. I opened Fira in 2025 after 20+ years of working behind a computer screen. I took my first pottery class in college, but I didn’t touch clay again until I moved to Santa Fe 15 years later and signed up for a wheel-throwing class.
What started as an after-work creative outlet quickly turned into more (and more, and more) time at the wheel and in my community studio, making pots and mixing glazes, then loading kilns and teaching classes over the ensuing years. And I still felt like I couldn’t get enough.
Fira is my way to share not just my own ceramic work, but everything I love about working with clay—the creativity, the challenge, the hands-on satisfaction, and (maybe most of all) the really amazing community that forms when people make things with their hands, together.
